DOLETA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor, overseeing apprenticeship, sector initiatives, layoff services, youth programs, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and more.
The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is a state agency charged with building and strengthening Wisconsin's workforce in the 21st century and beyond. The Department's primary responsibilities include providing job services, training and employment assistance to people looking for work, at the same time as it works with employers on finding the necessary workers to fill current job openings.
The Wisconsin Workforce Development Association (WWDA) is the organization that promotes, enhances, and serves the interests of local workforce investment agencies and system partners in Wisconsin. WWDA represents the eleven Workforce Development Areas who administer the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, as well as other federal, state and local workforce development initiatives across Wisconsin
NAWB connects workforce development professionals, Workforce Development Board members, and policy makers with the knowledge, training and tools to help make informed, smart decisions about how to execute WIOA successfully and invest in workforce strategies that advance the economic health of their communities through a skilled, competitive workforce.
NAWDP advocates for the workforce industry and develops the professional capacity of workforce professionals seeking the highest standards of excellence in credentialing, applied learning opportunities, and cutting edge tools to excel in serving job seekers and business.
